Pamela owns Art & Soul Gallery while creating and selling her work right here in Ely. Her art captures color, energy, and imagination — from hand-dyed leather wallets and purses to woven tapestries and beaded jewelry. Using marbling and dyeing techniques, she transforms leather into wearable art and wall hangings that are entirely her own. She holds a professional leather certificate from the Chicago School of Shoemaking and Leather Art, has studied with acclaimed leather makers, basket makers, tapestry artists, and beaders internationally and domestically, and has received funding from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, and the Donald G. Humanities Trust Individual Artist Grant. Her work is displayed in permanent and private collections locally, nationally, and internationally.
